In this episode, we are joined by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky, author of Trauma stewardship : an everyday guide to caring for self while caring for others.

We explore micro and macro contributing factors that are included in conceptualizations of trauma exposure. We also look at process of ‘trauma saturation’ and outline some of the key experiences that may signal a therapist is experiencing trauma saturation. Lastly, Laura shares some practices to help therapists increase their resilience and metabolize trauma exposure.
