Emotionally Focussed Therapy for Couples

In this episode we talk with Prof. Elmien Lesch about the foundations of Emotionally Focusses Therapy in couples work. Prof Lesch explores explains adult attachment theory that underpins the model, and expands on how relational distress and separation responses are conceptualized. During the podcast, we also listen to a helpful clip from an EFT couples therapy process in action as an example of how the model is applied. Lastly we explore how emotions are conceptualized in this model, and look at the Attachment Injury Resolution Model.
