Mindfulness and Psychotherapy

PLEASE NOTE: UNFORTUNATELY THE 2022 CPD POINTS FOR THIS EPISODE HAVE EXPIRED. HOWEVER YOU ARE STILL WELCOME TO LISTEN TO THE EPISODE IF THIS TOPIC IS OF INTEREST TO YOU

In this episode we speak with Charl Hattingh about integrating mindfulness practices with psychotherapy. We explore the current empirical studies on the efficacy of mindfulness in the context of individual therapy, as well as what constitutes incorporating mindfulness practices into psychotherapy, and some of the challenges this can pose. We also look at which therapeutic populations have been shown to best benefit from mindfulness-based interventions, and which require more careful consideration, and what qualifications are required in order to integrate mindfulness into individual therapy.
